Revised Merchant Shipping Code and Inland Water Transport Code came into effect on 31 December 2017. The amendments relate to authorities of Harbour Masters and Captains of vessels as well as to documents that regulate labour relations on ships, says press center of Rosmorrechflot (Federal Marine and River Transport Agency).

Diplomas and qualification certificates will be issued in e-format and Harbour Masters will obtain new powers.
