First call of Kaliningrad-Bronka container line is expected in October 2017

The first call of the Baltic Express, sea container line between Kaliningrad (Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port) and Saint-Petersburg (port Bronka), is expected in late October 2017, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Vladimir Zarudny, Director General of Kaliningrad Region Development Corporation JSC, as saying at the Baltic Transport Forum in Kaliningrad. According to him, registration of a special company to operate the line, Baltic Express LLC, is scheduled for late September.
The line will be serviced by the ships of Northern Shipping Company that sail under the flag of Russia and can be deployed for coastwise shipping. The first voyage planned from Antwerp will deliver 50 forty-foot containers with general cargo to Kaliningrad. On the way back from Saint-Petersburg the ship is supposed to carry mineral fertilizers.
